The mindset of body shame, food guilt and counting calories is old. And the diet dogma that has taught us this mindset is a faulty system.

Because this system doesn’t teach you how to listen to your body. It teaches you to follow strict rules, to ignore and shun the pains and cravings that your body is actually using in an attempt to communicate with you.

Through this old system, you lose your power — the power of truly understanding what your body is telling you.

And when you lose this power, you end up frustrated and exhausted. You live in fear that things will never get better.

This fear causes you to blame yourself. You beat yourself up, and you lose compassion for yourself. You end up living with the pain of being harsh with yourself. The pain of not liking yourself.

And that is exactly why I decided to create an event that would tackle this subject from as many different angles as possible.
